Cleansing is such an important part of your everyday skin routine. So it is so important to make sure you are doing it correctly and with the best products. The products you use can really change the whole way your skin looks and feels, you will find that some products work well for your skin and some may not. It is also a bit of a jungle trying to find the product that’s right for you because there are so many different opinions. So to try and make the search a little easier for you I have put together a list of my favourite cleanses, what they do and why they work.
1.The inkey list oat cleansing balm – This cleanser is amazing for taking off makeup and removing any dirt etc from your face, It is so gentle at removing makeup especially around the eyes. It does not cause me any irritation or redness and removes makeup so easily, it just completely melts it off. It also makes my skin feel so smooth and fresh when I’ve washed it off. The product has a thick balm consistency which then when rubbed onto the skin melts into an oily texture. It full of ingredients which benefit the skin, its two main ingredients are oat kernel oil and colloidal oatmeal. Oat kernel oil is non comedogenic which means that it doesn’t clog your pores, it can also reduce the look of papules and blackheads. Colloidal oatmeal helps to soothe the skin from irritation and locks in your skin’s moisture. It can also assist in balancing the ph levels on your skin.
2. Cetaphil hydrating foaming cleanser – This cleanser is a really lovely foaming cleanser. It is amazing at removing all the dirt and oil from your skin. It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean and bright. I really love this product and like to use it after I’ve used an oil based cleanser as well. The cleanser has so many good ingredients in it including niacinamide which I love as it really brightens my skin. It also has panthenol which helps retain moisture and glycerin which also helps relieve dry skin.

3. Fresh soy face cleanser – This cleanser is really gentle on the skin and has so many great ingredients which help clean your skin without removing the natural moisture of your skin. The cleanser is so calming but still leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean. Soy protein which is the key ingredient in this cleanser is great for your skin and can actually help with your skin’s pigmentation. This product also uses cucumber extract which is great for soothing and hydrating the skin.
4. Charlotte Tilbury goddess cleansing ritual – This cleanser is actually a duo, The first one is the citrus oil radiance cleanse. This should be used first as it is oil based so it removes all dirt and makeup from your face. This product also has some lovely ingredients in it such as vitamin C which leaves your skin radiant. The other product in this duo is the purifying charcoal cleanse. This is the cleanser which really treats your skin and gives it an even deeper cleanse, so that it removes all first and bacteria from your skin. I love that this product comes in a duo because I am a huge advocate for double cleansing, so with this product you don’t have to go searching for two separate cleansers as they have already done that for you.

5. Youth to the people superfood cleanser – This cleanser really wakes up your skin, leaving it feeling calm and fresh. The cleanser uses so many natural ingredients to help tackle different skin issues. It deeply cleanses your skin but doesn’t remove any of the natural goodness of your skin. It is great for sensitive skin and doesn’t cause irritation or redness. This product uses lots of natural ingredients which are so beneficial for your skin. One of my favourites is kale leaf extract as it is amazing for protecting your skin against pollutants which is so important.
These are my top 5 cleansers, they all have similarities but also target different skin types. I Have combination skin and these are what have worked for me. For the best cleansing routine click this link https://ohlaurel.com/skincare/
